PYC music project

Our thanks to the WM Mann foundation who contributed funds to support our proposed children's music project. The music idea is a direct result of a survey conducted by the youth centre and the children who attend our mini sports club. Why Music? The children participating in our Easter taster project were asked to vote on the taster sessions held. Street dance and music were tied at the top of the poll and as a result the PYC canvassed the children and parents with a view to establishing new projects based on the survey results. Applications are circulating in a search for funds in order to facilitate the two new projects and the WM Mann award will kick start the music sessions, with hopefully, more funding awards to follow. If additional funding is found, we hope to start both projects after the summer school holidays.
